Корзина - один из важнейших предметов в деревенском быту, когда наступает пора сбора ягод и грибов. Нельзя сказать, что сегодня корзины совсем заменены вёдрами, пакетами и ещё чем-нибудь. Корзины и сегодня в обиходе, причём и современного изготовления. Самые распространённые корзины из ивового прута, но нам они здесь неинтересны, ведь разговор про бересту. Расскажу про ручку берестяной корзины. Кажется, что это только деталь, но она очень важна. Корзину без ручки не понести, она сразу становится в тягость в лесу. Ручки у корзин были различные, но расскажу только про самую лучшую.
На моей родине на юге Архангельской области ручку корзины называют перевесло. Словарь В.И.Даля даёт такое определение - Перевесло или перевясло,
одноручное коромыслецо; || дужка на посудине, на ведре, на корзине; ||
пояс снопа; || дужка или коромыслецо на удах, где по крючку...(Толковый словарь Даля, 1863-1866 г.г.).
В чём же секрет такой ручки-дужки-перевесла? Секрет в том, что ручка прочная, гибкая, подвижная из-за своей конструкции.

Для крепления ручки к корзине делается прорезь в середине верхней части корзины с двух противоположных сторон.
Верхний край корзины укрепляется ободом из черёмухового прута или другого дерева или кустарника. Прут вставляется в кромку при заплетании верхнего края корзины.
Лента для ручки выбирается длинной, метра 4-5. Но всё зависит от толщины бересты, если она толще, то длина должна быть меньше и наоборот. Ширина берестяной ленты выбирается соразмерно с корзиной. Единая лента без наставлений придаёт прочность ручке, как сказал бы современный инженер - чем меньше точек отказа, тем надёжней агрегат. Тут так и есть. Ручка собирается в несколько слоёв и затем оплетается.
Ручка получается прочная, гибкая и удобная на руке. Попробуйте поносить по лесу на руке корзину, а потом ведро с грибами и поймёте, что ручка корзины принимает форму, удобную для несущего, а ручка ведра жёсткая и давит на руку.
Открытый секрет - уже не секрет, но он откроется полностью тогда, когда Вы перевесло сами сделаете на своей корзине или отремонтируете старую корзину с чердака.
